Lake Monticello in Fluvanna County is a private 3,500-acre community divided into 12 sections
containing 4,635 lots. Currently, there are approximately 12,000 residents
residing in nearly 4,200 single-family homes. Within the gated area there are 9
sections with access through five gates. Lake Monticello in Fluvanna County is
approximately 15 miles southeast of Charlottesville, Virginia, situated around
a 350-acre manmade lake (fed by some 200 springs) with 22.5 miles of shoreline.
Home sites are connected by 62 miles of privately maintained roads and served
by a central water and sewage system. Utilities, including telephone, electric,
and cable television, are underground in most of the community. Lake Monticello
in Fluvanna County is patrolled twenty-four hours a day by its own private,
certified police department. There is a
volunteer fire department, rescue squad and water rescue located just outside
the gated area.
Access to Lake Monticello in Fluvanna County is restricted,
routine access is limited to property owners and tenants, their family members
and guests, associate members, groups for special activities and other
authorized persons.
The beautiful LakeMonticello in Fluvanna County is ideal for boating, water skiing, and fishing.
A marina with docks and a concrete launching area are available for boaters. The
main lake has five beaches with picnic areas. The Lake Monticello golf course
is an eighteen-hole, par 72 PGA championship length course. The Lake Monticello
golf clubhouse also houses the Pro Shop and the Eagles Nest Snack Bar. Other amenities
include a swimming pool; softball and soccer fields; tennis, basketball and horseshoe
courts; and playgrounds with picnic areas.

Family Fall Festival in Fluvanna County

My family and I had such a great time this past Sunday at Fork Union Baptist Church in Fluvanna County. It was great to see all of my neighbors from the community come out to share in the festivities.
The Family Fall Festival in Fluvanna County seemed to be a big success. The anticipation of Hurricane Sandy did not seem to keep any of the ghost, goblins, fairies and even batman from coming out and having a fantastic time.
Fluvanna neighbors brought out a canned goods for the food pantry. There were bouncy houses, fun games, face painting, cake walk, cookie decorating (my favorite) and even pony rides. Joey took his first pony ride here at Fork Union Baptist Church.
All of the kids seemed to enjoy making caramel apples and the costume contest. The incredible Hulk won for scariest, I think Joey could have won (I think he was too cute to be scary), but the Hulk actually scared off a few of the cowgirls and fairies...so congrats to the Hulk. The little 1 week old strawberry won best overall costume...how could she not?! All of the kids were adorable and did a great job up on stage. All of the kids got to enjoy a candy hunt after the contest. I am sure they will all be going back to Central Elementary School with lots of candy to share with those who could not make it.
It was really great seeing kids from Fluvanna High School and Fluvanna Middle School come out to volunteer and help make the Fluvanna Festival such a success.
I am so happy all of the neighbors from Antioch Glen, Broken Island, Fox Glen, Lake Monticello, Meadow Brook, Needham Village, Sycamore Landing, Sycamore Square, Taylor Ridge Estates and The Villages at Nahor.
